OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WON’T IGNITE

For an electric stove will not start, check if the stove power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light for gas models. If the appliance is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, it means a different part of the stove will need to be repaired. The reason for the issue could be the infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that does not heat won’t do much good. Your oven won’t heat when there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. Your burner will not fire up when an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We can troubleshoot and repair these common issues in no more than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER ISSUES

It is safe to assume the control panel on a stove is broken if the timer or program functions are not working. If that’s the case, we are able to fix control panels on Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on control boards and the manufacturer replacement parts we install for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You always need a hot oven. But not too hot! If the oven heat is out of control, it might be because of a broken sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians are able to find the reason for the issue and fix it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A common stove problem is times where an igniter will glow but it does not light. The cause is from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We can determine if we are able to fix these appliance parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens sometimes have door problems. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to troubleshoot why the door does not open up and then we complete the repair so we can put an end to the problem.
